Similar to English, but not in the entirely same way, the word “edge” is used to describe people in Korean. Notice how ㅁ, the consonant in the bottom of 람 of 사람, is comprised of four straight lines.įor 사람 to become 사랑, the edges of ㅁ have to be smoothed out so that ㅁ can become ㅇ.
